Is there an official LinkedIn MCP server?

No. As of October 2026 LinkedIn has not released an MCP server or an official Claude or ChatGPT connector, so every LinkedIn MCP server is third-party. PostPlanify's is hosted and publishes through LinkedIn's official API, the same way it does from the PostPlanify dashboard.

Can Claude connect to LinkedIn?

Yes, through an MCP connector. Claude has no built-in LinkedIn integration, but you can add PostPlanify as a custom connector with the URL https://api.postplanify.com/api/mcp, sign in, and Claude can then schedule LinkedIn posts, read Company Page analytics and reply to comments.

How do I add the LinkedIn MCP server to Claude or ChatGPT?

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose "Add custom connector" and paste https://api.postplanify.com/api/mcp. In ChatGPT, install the official PostPlanify plugin from the ChatGPT plugins directory. In both, you sign in with your PostPlanify account. No API key or code is needed.

Will a LinkedIn MCP server get my account restricted?

Not if it uses LinkedIn's official API. LinkedIn's User Agreement bans scraping and unauthorized bots, and open-source LinkedIn MCP servers that drive a logged-in browser carry that risk. PostPlanify posts through LinkedIn's official API with the access you approve, and never scrapes profiles.

Can it post to my personal profile and my company page?

Yes, both. Connect your personal LinkedIn profile or any Company Page you admin, and your AI can schedule text posts, single images, up to 20 images, one video or one PDF document, which LinkedIn shows as a swipeable carousel.

Can the AI read my LinkedIn analytics?

For Company Pages, yes: impressions, clicks, reactions, comments, shares, engagement rate and follower counts. LinkedIn does not give third-party apps post analytics for personal profiles, so those are not available.

Can it reply to LinkedIn comments?

Yes. Your AI can list new comments on your posts, draft replies and post them after you confirm. Replies are public and go out immediately.

Can it send LinkedIn DMs or scrape profiles and jobs?

No. PostPlanify publishes and manages your own posts. It does not send messages, search people or jobs, or read other members' profiles. Tools that do are usually scrapers that break LinkedIn's terms.

Will the AI post to LinkedIn without asking me?

Your AI client asks before it runs actions: ChatGPT confirms write actions by default and Claude asks for tool approval. Every post also lands in your PostPlanify calendar as scheduled, where you can edit or cancel it before it goes out.

Is the LinkedIn MCP server free?

MCP access is included on all paid PostPlanify plans, with no separate MCP fee. One connection covers LinkedIn and the other 9 platforms.
