Does TikTok have an official MCP server?

Yes, for ads. The TikTok for Business MCP Server, launched in May 2026, manages ad campaigns, reporting and audiences. It does not publish organic videos to your account, which is what PostPlanify's TikTok MCP does.

What is the difference between this and the TikTok Ads MCP?

The Ads MCP runs paid campaigns. PostPlanify schedules organic videos and photo posts to your TikTok account and reads their analytics. PostPlanify does not manage ads.

Can Claude or ChatGPT post videos to TikTok?

Yes. Connect PostPlanify and your AI can schedule a video or a photo carousel to your TikTok account with a caption.

Can it post TikTok photo carousels?

Yes, with 1 to 10 photos per post. Videos and photos cannot be mixed in one post.

Will AI-posted TikToks be public?

You choose. TikTok requires a privacy setting for every post (public, friends, followers or only me), and your AI has to pass the one you pick. There is no hidden default.

Does it use the official TikTok API or scrape?

The official TikTok Content Posting API, with the account you connect. It does not scrape TikTok or read other creators' videos.

How many TikToks can I post per day?

TikTok limits direct posting to roughly 15 posts per creator per day across all apps. PostPlanify also caps each account at 6 posts an hour.

Can the AI read my TikTok analytics?

Yes: views, likes, comments, shares and engagement rate per video, plus followers and total likes. Data syncs about every 30 minutes.

Can it reply to TikTok comments or send to drafts?

No. Posts publish directly at the scheduled time. TikTok comments and the drafts inbox are not part of the MCP.

Is the TikTok MCP server free?

MCP access is included on all paid PostPlanify plans, with no separate MCP fee. One connection covers TikTok and the other 9 platforms.
