Bitly integration for PostPlanify

Connect Bitly to a PostPlanify workspace and the links in your posts are shortened automatically when they publish. Each platform gets its own short link, so you can see in Bitly which network drove the clicks. Links use your custom Bitly domain if you have one.

Getting started

You'll need a Bitly account. Bitly is connected per workspace, so each client can use their own Bitly account and domain.

1. 1.In PostPlanify, go to Settings > Integrations.
2. 2.Click Connect next to Bitly and authorize your Bitly account.
3. 3.Optionally pick your custom short domain.
4. 4.Create a post with a link and turn on "Shorten links with Bitly".
5. 5.Add a UTM campaign if you want one (optional).
6. 6.Schedule or publish: links are shortened when the post goes live.

What you can do

• Automatic short links

  Links in captions, threads and first comments are shortened at publish time.

• Clicks per platform

  Each platform gets its own short link, so clicks split by network in Bitly.

• UTM tags built in

  utm_source and utm_medium are added for you, plus an optional campaign, so traffic shows up right in Google Analytics.

• Custom domains

  Use your branded Bitly domain instead of bit.ly.

• One Bitly per workspace

  Agencies can connect each client's own Bitly account to that client's workspace.

• Never blocks a post

  If Bitly is unavailable, the post still goes out with the original links.
